Background
Leo Cussen Institute is a 38 year old not for profit organisation that provides high quality education and professional support services. The Institute sent a series of 6 marketing brochures to over 11,000 practicising solicitors and barristers to entice attendance for the training programs on offer.
Solution
We suggested a format change from 6 separate flyers to one booklet, incorporating the 4 topic streams. This allowed a substantial saving in printing charges and staff efficiencies, in addition a large saving in direct mail collating costs. Using the 4 topic icons we developed, a clean and legible layout was designed.
Results
Following the launch, the reaction was positive from all stakeholders. Instead of a throw away brochure, the booklet featuring the metallic print cover encouraged recipients to retain the booklet and use it as a handy reference. Some volumes also featured fold out posters so users could tick which courses were completed. The booklet increased sales and the value of the LCI brand.
